Isabelle Holland-Lulewicz, Assistant Professor of Archaeology at Penn State University, will be visiting FSU on October 9th.   At 3pm in Dohnányi Recital Hall (DRH) she will give a presentation about her archaeological and environmental research along Georgia’s coast. Isabelle’s exciting research is a fascinating and interdisciplinary exploration of how humans have managed their environments in the past, and what lessons we can learn for the future from the archaeological past. Isabelle works closely on fields related to oyster farming and the health of ancient oyster fisheries with implications for present day ecosystems management.

Her talk is entitled Past Socio-Ecological Systems of the Georgia Coast, USA

The talk will begin at 3pm on 10/9/2025. It will go from 3pm to 4pm with time for questions after.  The talk will take place in Dohnanyani Recital Hall, which is in the Housewright Building, 122 N Copeland Street, Tallahassee, FL 32304 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/oNzqmzLdQ5MgssLM8).
