Instructor Panel for Affordable Materials Virtual Series

University Libraries, in collaboration with the Office of Distance Learning and Center for the Advancement of Teaching is hosting the Capital City Virtual Series on Open Educational Resources, a monthly “brown bag” series. This is a free professional development opportunity for faculty, students and administrators in the Tallahassee community. It will primarily focus on raising awareness about Open Educational Resources (OER) and their potential to support student success by reducing textbook costs and creating opportunities for open, learner-centered pedagogy. Enroll in the open Canvas to join the series, get updates, and participate in asynchronous discussions.
OER Instructor Panel: Journeys in Open
Friday June 12, 12 - 1pm
Join us for a panel discussion on the impact of OER in the classroom happening this Friday at 12p. Instructors from varying institutions and disciplines will share their experiences in making the switch to OER. Attendees will learn more about a wide-ranging approach to OER and recognize pathways for making their course materials open and affordable.
