How Do You Back It Up?

Druva endpoint backup

This message has been approved by Ken Johnson, Senior Director, FSU Information Technology Services, for distribution to faculty and staff.

ITS is offering a new endpoint backup solution for university units. Endpoint backup, powered by Druva, is a cost-effective, worry free solution that offers unlimited storage. Endpoint backup is a means to protect important files and is available for use on university-owned devices.

The service is capable of automatically backing up files and data from a device each time the application connects to the internet.

Each license is good for up to three endpoints, including desktops, laptops and mobile devices, includes unlimited storage and is compatible with Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Endpoint backup uses FSU single sign-on, meaning users can access their backup using their FSUID and password without creating a third-party account.

While Druva is strictly for university use, the ITS Software Store offers backup solutions, such as Norton, at a discounted rate for employee home use. Endpoint backup is available for $3.15 per month or $37.80 per year. To request endpoint backup for your department or individual users, follow the instructions to submit a TSR on the Endpoint Backup webpage.
