Helping Students with Email Upgrade

This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Robert J. Fuselier, Director of the Office of Distance Learning.

Student email accounts were upgraded in the spring to @fsu.edu email addresses. The change makes communication easier across the university – particularly between faculty and students. 

As students arrive for the fall term, now is a good time to remind them of the update. Some might be unaware of the change or unsure how to proceed. To keep students informed, the Office of Distance Learning encourages you to post an announcement in your Canvas course site. Feel free to use this sample text:

Need Help Accessing Your New FSU Email Account?

If you are experiencing issues signing in to your account, please follow these steps:
1.    Clear your cache and cookies.
2.    Go to outlook.com/fsu.edu.
3.    Log in with your new email (FSUID@fsu.edu) and password.
And don’t forget to set up your account on all your devices and update your Office 365 apps.
