Help students avoid submission errors by encouraging them to verify their assignment submissions in Canvas. By checking for each of the following, students can avoid some common pitfalls and make sure the uploaded assignment is exactly what they intended to submit:

  • Canvas has confirmed the assignment submission.
  • The submitted assignment is complete (no missing pages).
  • The submitted assignment is the correct version or file.

Though students can use the Canvas mobile app to submit assignments in a pinch, the way to guarantee successful submission is to use Canvas via a browser. Any technical difficulties should be reported to ODL Technical Support as soon as they occur, regardless of time of day. This ensures that technical problems are addressed as soon as possible and that you have access to details about any submission issues.
