FSU Testing Center Spring Services

This message has been approved by Robert Fuselier, Director of the Office of Distance Learning, for distribution to faculty and staff.
The main campus Testing Center is offering live proctoring services for both face-to-face and FSU Flex courses. In addition, we continue to offer placement tests and specialty exams such as CLEP. For the safety of our students and staff, we will be following university and CDC guidelines in all of our operating procedures.
How to Request On-Campus Testing Services
We are now accepting requests for spring in-person proctoring. FSU instructors can request services by completing the Spring 2021 Instructor Request Form. We recommend including our proctored exams sample text in your course syllabus to ensure students have information on testing procedures and policies.
Please Note: Though we strive to accommodate as many requests as possible, seating is limited and requests granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Health & Safety Procedures
We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our students and proctors. Information on our safety procedures is summarized below. You can find more information at distance.fsu.edu/testing.
- Face Masks Required. Face coverings are required for all students, staff, visitors, and vendors while in the Testing Center and any adjacent indoor area. Students must bring and wear a face covering in order to enter and test in the Testing Center.
- Six-Feet of Distance. Students are registered and seated so that the minimum six-feet of physical distance is respected at all times while in the building.
- Sanitization Protocols. The Testing Center is regularly cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected according to CDC recommendations using EPA-registered cleaning agents. Hand sanitizer is available at check-in and checkout stations.
Testing with Honorlock
While we encourage instructors to use alternative assessment strategies whenever possible, Honorlock is available for online proctoring of exams:
- Join us for a Remote Proctoring for High-Stakes Assessment webinar to learn how to configure your Honorlock settings, set up your Canvas Quiz to work with Honorlock, and access and review exam logs. Find additional information in the Honorlock Resources for Instructors article.
- Students seeking an exemption from Honorlock testing are advised to consult their instructor, who can request in-person proctoring if warranted.
Scanning Services
Our scanning department is open and provides optical mark scanning for paper-based, multiple-choice exams and surveys. You can order blank forms, review test data, and can now view images of your scanned forms via our online system. Learn more at odl.fsu.edu/scanning.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or requests.
