Food and Finance from Unconquered by Debt

Unconquered by Debt

This message has been approved by Joe Calhoun, director of the Stavros Center for Economic Education, for distribution to faculty and staff.

Food and Finance is a series of workshops (with a remote option) offered to enhance your personal finance knowledge and scheduled at a time we believe is convenient for the workday, Tuesdays and Thursdays from Noon-12:45 pm.  The workshops contain most of the same material created for Unconquered by Debt (targeted to students), but redesigned for faculty and staff at FSU.  Each workshop will be led by an FSU faculty member or an industry expert.  Questions and an interactive audience are encouraged.  No solicitations of any kind will be made. Food will be provided.

The goals of the program are to enhance financial literacy and transform decision making so that individuals become wealth creators. The program will promote balanced financial choices so that participants understand they are responsible for their current and future lifestyles. The focus is on key life choices: spending, saving, investing, managing credit, evaluating risk, insuring assets, and planning for retirement.

Please use the following link to register for each workshop if you plan to attend in person so we can order enough food.
