Florida Undergraduate Research Conference Applications Open
This message has been approved by Latika Young, Director of CRE, for distribution to students, staff and faculty.
The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is one of the largest multi-disciplinary research conferences in the country. Students attending FURC will have the opportunity to showcase their own research and connect with students conducting research at other Florida institutions. The conference will also offer workshops and a graduate school fair.
The cost of travel (charter bus), accommodations, the registration fee, and meals (outside of refreshments provided by the conference) will be covered by the CRE for students selected for travel funding. CRE will provide poster printing as needed for the selected students. See Application Details below for more information.
Important Information for FURC 2027
Conference Dates: January 29-30th, 2027
Location: Holiday Inn, Kissimmee by the Parks
Abstract Submission Deadline: November 2nd, 2026
CRE Funding Application Deadline: November 7th, 2026
FURC Abstract Decision Notification: November 23, 2026
CRE Funding Decision Notification: Early December
FURC Registration Deadline: December 11, 2026

The submission process for presenting at FURC 2027 is separate from your funding application. General information about FURC 2027 and the application process can be found here. You can find the abstract submission portal to apply to present at FURC 2027 here. Your abstract for approval by FURC 2027 is due by 11:59PM Nov. 2nd.
DO NOT PAY THE REGISTRATION FEE WHEN YOU APPLY TO FURC 2027. If you are awarded travel funding for FURC 2027, the CRE will pay your registration fee. We will send out funding decisions in December 2026.

This application is for FSU students applying for funding to attend and present at FURC 2027. Please fill out this application by 11:59PM November 7, 2026 and email CRE (cre@fsu.edu) with any questions. You must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student to be eligible for funding.
If you receive an offer of full funding, you will need to commit to the entire trip experience, including:
- Traveling to and from the conference on the bus only
- Staying at the hotel we have booked on Friday night
- Utilizing the FURC 2027 GroupMe throughout the conference
- You must let us know immediately if any problems arise
