Florida State Open Publishing: 2026 Call for Proposals Now Open

Florida State Open Publishing is an open-access publishing program supported by Florida State University Libraries. Our publications are made digitally available with no cost to authors or readers, as well as available for print purchase. All works are published under a Creative Commons license, and our authors retain copyright.
What We Publish
Proposals should be for long-form scholarly or creative projects of intellectual and cultural value. Possible projects include:

Scholarly monographs

Edited collections
-
Translations
-
Conference, symposium, or lecture proceedings (one-time publications)

Open educational resources (OER) or open textbooks

Reports and white papers

Creative works

Other non-traditional scholarly publications
Proposals submitted during the annual call for proposals are reviewed by FSOP editors and the Florida State Open Publishing Faculty Advisory Board. A limited number of projects are selected for publication.
