Faculty Writer's Retreat

FSU Libraries invites you to a three-day Faculty Writers' Retreat in Strozier Library from Wednesday, May 6, through Friday, May 8, 2026. This retreat will give you uninterrupted time to work on a specific project, conduct research, edit a manuscript, prepare a grant proposal, or dedicate time to a collaborative writing project. You will be provided with a private or group workspace in Strozier, daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and the overall structure to help you make progress on your research and writing. 

You are encouraged to work on your writing for at least 6 hours per day (full-time participants) or 3 hours per day (part-time participants). All faculty members are eligible to attend, including adjunct faculty, full-time staff who serve as adjuncts, professionals, specialized faculty, and postdocs.

Daily Schedule:

8:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. | Welcome Breakfast in the Bradley Reading Room

9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. | Writing Session 1

11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | Lunch in the Bradley Reading Room

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. | Writing Session 2

Please be aware that registration is limited to 20 attendees. If you are planning to attend, you are encouraged to sign up early.
