Faculty Fellows Program Accepting Applications
This message has been approved by Vice President Janet Kistner for distribution to faculty and staff.
The Office of Faculty Development & Advancement launched the Faculty Fellows program in the 2021-22 academic year. Each year, faculty fellows work closely with the VP for Faculty Development and Advancement on initiatives focused on enhancing faculty success. Applications for the 2024-25 cohort are now being accepted.
Goals of the Faculty Fellows Program
- To draw on faculty members’ knowledge and expertise to create programs, policies, and initiatives focused on increasing and supporting faculty success and research efforts.
- To increase the pipeline of faculty members for leadership positions by providing opportunities to partner with university leaders on specific initiatives.
Eligibility
Fellows must be full-time tenured faculty or full-time specialized faculty in the top rank (Level III) who are not currently serving in major administrative roles (e.g., chair; associate dean).
Selection Criteria
- Overall record and potential to contribute to faculty initiatives.
- Quality and need for initiative(s) outlined in proposal.
- Evidence of a commitment to academic excellence and faculty success at FSU
- Evidence of a commitment to academic excellence and faculty success at FSU.
Initiatives of Interest (2024-25)
- Facilitating and sustaining interdisciplinary activities and initiatives.
- Promoting faculty expertise in generative AI for research, teaching, and service.
- Mid-career faculty development and advancement.
