Extended Deadline (8/22): UROP Research Mentor Project Submission

This message has been approved by Morgan Hamilton, Assistant Director at the Center for Undergraduate Research and Academic Engagement, for distribution to faculty and staff.

The CRE is recruiting UROP Research Mentors for the 2019-2020 academic year. Faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and campus partners are invited to submit project proposals for the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP).

UROP is a CRE initiative engaging 1st-year, 2nd-year, and select transfer students in academic research.

As part of UROP, students:

  • participate in a colloquium introducing them to the practice of research
  • work as research assistants for 5-10 hours a week for an academic year
  • present their Research Mentors' projects and their contribution to it at the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in the spring
