Earn a $100 Scholarship at a New Budget Seminar
This message has been approved by Dr. Joe Calhoun, Director of the Stavros Center for Economic Education.
The Budget Seminar has four specific goals: (1) Explain the budgeting process, (2) Identify key spending choices, (3) Complete activities to support decisions, and (4) Create an after-college budget that will provide a wealth-building plan.
FSU Teaching Professors Mark Melichar and Joe Calhoun from the Stavros Center will lead the seminar on October 12, 19, 26, and November 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. All meetings will be held in the Stavros Center and Pub subs will be provided. The Stavros Center is conveniently located on the FSU campus at 250 South Woodward Ave (at the corner of South Woodward and Jefferson, across the street from the FSU Police Station).

This survey will be monitored at 9:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. You will be enrolled in a Canvas org site titled Budget Seminar to complete four prerequisites for the seminar. The first 30 participants to complete them at a satisfactory level will be admitted. The survey will remain open until 5:00 pm on September 30. The prerequisites must be completed by October 5.
We anticipate seven required activities, most of which will be completed in person on Mondays. Participants must attend all meetings and complete activities at a satisfactory level to receive a scholarship.
