‘Duo’ you have a backup plan?

We would like to remind you that ITS will be closed for Winter Break starting at 5PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 and will re-open on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 8:00 AM. To help ensure you have no issue setting up Duo Mobile on any new devices you get this holiday season ITS would like to give you these 2 tips for backing up your Duo Mobile account. First, you can easily add devices to your 2FA account. We recommend adding at least two devices, such as a cellphone and tablet or smartwatch. This way, if you ever misplace one device, you can still use 2FA and add a new device once you get a replacement. The second method is to enable Duo restore. Duo Mobile’s restore functionality lets you back up Duo-protected accounts for recovery to the same device or a new device. To activate this function open your Duo Mobile app and go into the settings. At the top, you will see “Backup third-party accounts.” with more information on how to enable Duo Restore.
