This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Robert J. Fuselier, Director of the Office of Distance Learning.

The Office of Distance Learning is pleased to announce a demonstration of InSpace, an innovative technology pilot for the summer and fall 2023 semesters.

InSpace is an easy-to-use pedagogical tool that works within Canvas to enable students and instructors to engage in a virtual classroom as they would in a physical classroom. Spaces are created for virtual classroom instruction, teaching assistant sessions, office hours, waiting rooms, labs, and more. If you find that student engagement has been waning in your Zoom meetings, discover how InSpace can bring presence, connectedness, collaboration, and authentic conversations to the learning environment.

If you're unsure about attending the demonstration and want to learn how InSpace can help you in the virtual classroom, please view this four-minute video, which introduces you to the InSpace virtual environment, including its integration into Canvas.

How to Attend

To attend the demonstration and pilot preview, please register for the webinar, which is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, from noon to 1 pm. Instructions on how to access the session will be sent to those who have registered. If you have questions about the webinar or InSpace, please contact Dewel Lindsey at dlindsey2@fsu.edu.
