Courses Offer Canvas Basics, Quality Training

Whether you're getting started in Canvas or designing an online course, the Office of Distance Learning has two new resources for you.

New to Canvas?

Canvas Instructor/Staff Orientation is our basic training course for new Canvas users. This self-paced course describes how to get started in Canvas, including profile setup, navigation, and notification preferences. You'll learn how to add course content like announcements, assignments, and discussion boards and how to access the FSU Canvas Support Center for helpful resources.

Designing a Course?

The FSU Online Quality Design Course in Canvas provides access to live and recorded training webinars facilitated by ODL instructional development faculty. In this self-paced course, you’ll learn strategies for developing and delivering quality online instruction, including how to incorporate elements of quality design into your course. To refresh your knowledge of tools and technologies, you can participate in skill-building training sessions.
