Call For Family Weekend 2025 Volunteers
New Student & Family Programs
Family Weekend 2025 is taking place Friday, September 19 - Sunday, September 21 and we are gearing up for another year of a fun-filled university tradition! This year, we are hosting 6 Signature Events and are already expecting just under 3,000 individuals to make the trip to Tallahassee.
In order for this event to be successful, we rely on several volunteers to help create a positive Family Weekend experience for students, families, and our FSU campus. As a volunteer, you may be asked to assist with the following tasks: Family Weekend Check-In, re-stocking Check-In supplies, answering questions from families, wayfinding and campus directions, event set-up or tear down, passing out canned sodas, and generally floating. Volunteers are only being asked to assist with events on Friday and Saturday of Family Weekend.
This volunteering opportunity is open to all faculty, staff, and students. If you have a robust student leader or student organization population and think they would be interested in fulfilling volunteer hours through Family Weekend, please share this opportunity with them! We would love all the support we can get.
To prepare our volunteers and answer any questions, we will be hosting a Family Weekend Volunteer Orientation via Zoom during the week leading up to Family Weekend. Our goal is to make sure you are informed and ready to have fun for Family Weekend!
