For the ninth year, The Graduate School will host the Three Minute Thesis (3MT™) Competition. This event will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 3:30 PM in the College of Medicine Durell Peaden Auditorium. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

What is the 3MT Competition?
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT™) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland, Australia. The exercise develops academic, presentation, and research communication skills and supports the development of students' capacities to effectively explain their research in language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience.

Doctoral students have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their research topic and its significance. 3MT™ encourages students to consolidate their ideas and crystalize their research discoveries.

Come out and support the 2022 3MT™Finalists as they showcase their research, presentation, and communication skills in the final competition. The 2022 3MT™Finalists will receive a certificate and are eligible for one of three awards: 1st Place ($1,000), 2nd Place ($750), and People’s Choice ($500) selected by the audience.
