Old Salt Union is a high-energy Americana band featuring banjo, mandolin, violin, bass and guitar, creating a renewed approach to a traditional folk style. The group’s sound inherently has a bluegrass and folk feel that incorporates jazz, classical, and pop elements for a well-rounded performance and eclectic music. Their skilled instrumentation and vocal power offer a fresh take on a modern string band. The unique take on the traditional style of music has been termed "newgrass" to describe a more modern bluegrass sound. Their songs such as "God You Didn't Need" and "Madam Plum" can be heard on Spotify's Grassroots and Indie Bluegrass playlists.
