2025 Florida Book Awards

The Florida Book Awards is now accepting entries for its 2025 awards ceremony. Submissions opened July 31, 2025 and will stay open until December 12, 2025. The entries must have been professionally published between December 14, 2024 and December 12, 2025. Gold, silver, and bronze placements are awarded by jurors of the following categories: Cooking, Florida nonfiction, general fiction, general nonfiction, older children's literature, poetry, popular fiction, Spanish language, visual arts, young adult literature, and young children's literature.
Across all categories, applicants must be a full-time Florida resident with the exceptions of Florida Nonfiction, visual arts, and cooking. Works in the Florida nonfiction and visual arts categories must be centered around Florida as per the Florida Book Awards guidelines.
The winners of each category will be announced in February, 2026. The ceremony honoring them will take place on April 23, 2026.
