This message has been approved by Adrienne Stephenson, associate dean of The Graduate School, for distribution to students, faculty and staff.

For the sixth year, The Graduate School will host the Master's in Four Competition. This event will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 3:30 PM in the College of Medicine Durell Peaden Auditorium. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

What is the Master's in Four (Min4) Competition?
The Master's in Four Competition is a research communication competition that aims to help master's students develop academic, presentation, and research communication skills. Moreover, it supports the development of students' capacities to effectively explain their research in language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience.

Currently enrolled master's students who have earned 18 hours of graduate coursework toward the degree may compete in the Master's in Four Competition. Participants have four minutes and four PPT slides to present a compelling oration on their research topic and to explain their research to a broad audience.

Come out and support the 2024 Master's in Four finalists as they showcase their research, presentation, and communication skills in the final competition. The 2024 Master's in Four finalists are eligible for one of three awards: 1st Place ($1,000), 2nd Place ($750), 3rd Place ($500) and People’s Choice ($250) selected by the audience.
