2023 Social Science Scholar: Applications Open

Join the College of Social Science and Public Policy's prestigious Social Science Scholars Program to become one of 18 outstanding students in our 2023 cohort. Develop leadership skills while following your passion. Apply to be a social science scholar by 5 p.m. on Monday, October 3.

As a Social Science Scholar, you will:
- Join a select group of 18 outstanding students
- Enroll in a 3 credit, multi-disciplinary leadership seminar in the Spring 2023 semester
- Design and conduct an internship, service, or research project in the U.S. or abroad
- Receive up to $5,000 for project-related expenses, including travel
- Enroll in a 1 credit post-project seminar during the Fall 2023 semester
Requirements to apply:
- Have fulfilled all of your Liberal Studies/General Education requirements
- Be a coded major or dual major in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Have participated in on-campus, community, and/or business organizations
- Plan on graduating no sooner than the Fall 2023 Semester
